YOUR HEALTH, YOUR MIND      

          Our natural birthright is glowing health, vibrant energy and youthful vitality throughout our lives.  Creating a focus on the goal of health is certainly one of the most practical and beneficial uses of the visualizing techniques.  Health is definitely our most valuable physical asset.

          Although perfect health is the natural state of the body, most people have probably experienced illness in their lives.  Many people have repeatedly spent enormous sums and much time trying to regain their health, but very little time and effort on maintaining it at a high, optimal level.  This is due, in part, to the fact that most people are unaware of their ability to use their positive mental influence to affect their own bodies.

          The mind and body are intimately connected.  Your body's condition is a mirror of your thoughts, both conscious and unconscious.   Just as our thoughts and words affect what happens in our lives, so too, do they affect our health.  Our attitudes about situations in our lives can contribute to disharmony and illness in the body.  Thoughts of defeat, failure, discord with others, hate, anger, and resentment, can actually cause illness.  Frequent or intense stress erodes the immune system. 

          When your body is in pain, it affects your mental functioning, doesn't it?  In the same way, when your mind or emotions are in pain, they affect your physical functioning.  Your mood affects your posture -- how straight you stand, whether you lift your head.  When you straighten your spine, lift your head, and take a deep breath, you start to feel better immediately.
